Creole Soul Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
From entering the restaurant to leaving; the service was impeccable. Our waitress Q’s service was tops tier. She was very knowledgeable about the menu, and knew what to recommend. I had the bayou wings, with sweet potato soufflé, collard greens and Mac ‘n cheese. Everything was seasoned to perfection. After enjoying the delicious meal that I had; I’m positively sure that everything else on the menu is just as tasty. I didn’t even want to come out to eat, but so glad I did. The atmosphere, service and the food were ALL exceptional! I will definitely be coming back, and I suggest that whoever reads this, go and enjoy this diamond in the cut!!!
I visited Baltimore and happened to see this restaurant on Google. I STRONGLY recommend people to check it out. The food and ambiance were impeccable. The personal service from Chef Q was impressive. She really made us feel welcomed. As an added touch, the playlist was perfect. It created an atmosphere that allowed me to truly enjoy time catching up with a friend over a great meal and drinks. 10/10
As a chef, I'm very strict about restaurants and meals when I eat out because many are lackluster. Creole Soul Restaurant is anything but! The food was absolutely phenomenal; most importantly, it was seasoned to perfection. The gumbo and shrimp po' boy: 10/10 will try again. Blessings!
This was my first time eating food from Creole Soul Restaurant located in the R. House Food Hall located in Baltimore, MD. I have been on a DMV food hall tour and R. House has been on my list of food halls to try. After doing a lap around R. House to see what stood out, Creole Soul caught my eye. It’s Mardi Gras time, so having a Creole dish made sense. Took a minute to decide on what to order. There were a few items that I wanted to try. I opted for a fried catfish with shrimp & creamy grits & thought that it tasted DELICIOUS! Almost tasted like it wasn’t straight from New Orleans. I would’ve liked to try their beignets, but next time, which there will definitely be because I enjoyed the food and would like to go back again the next time I’m in that part of Baltimore.
Black Owned and operated! They have a variety of fish with grits options, po' Boy sandwiches and Louisiana based dishes luke Gumbo and jambalaya! The food gets cold kinda quick, so, either eat fast or be prepped to reheat it in a microwave. Service is cool.i've had the Shrimp w/ grits, a po'boy with shrimp and catfish, fries and tried the peach cobbler. All are solid! Give them a try at the R-House!
Who needs salt & Pepper when your food is PERFECTLY SEASONED!? My friend and I tried this AMAZING restaurant today on a whim.... SO glad we did. Do yourself a favor... GO! I ordered the Jerk Salmon & Grits and I added Grilled Shrimp and got a slice of RED VELVET CORNBREAD. The jerk season had JUST the right amount of heat... not over bearing. The grits had so much flavor they could be eaten ALONE. 10/10 would recommend.
We went there early Saturday 12:15ish and was literally first in line. They made our dishes fresh, as we ordered almost 1 of everything just to taste it all. 1 hour later we were in a food coma. The service was quick, owner engaged in conversation, and atmosphere was nice (better early than later) as we were able to get a table. The only thing was that we’re out of red velvet and we tried waiting, but slipped into that food coma. Next time. I thought it was reasonably priced compared to the NYC prices we pay. That $75 meal in NYCwould cost much more. Hurry up and open up that new location. Update July 2023 - When pass through on 95, I try to stop off. This recent visit wasn’t any different. Stopped off and got my shrimp and grits with cornbread and red velvet bread. The ride home was peaceful and fulfilling
I'm so glad I decided to dine at Creole Soul during my first visit to Baltimore. The food was amazing. Chef "Que" was on deck serving Flavor and Soul in every dish. We devoured the shrimp & grits, lobster mac & Cheese, and the red velvet cornbread then made room for the chocolate beignets. I can honestly say this was the Best lobster mac & Cheese I have ever eaten. My husband and I are planning to return before our trip ends just to have another slice of the red velvet cornbread. If you are looking for real Soul food with a Creole twist you have to dine at Creole Soul. You will not be disappointed!
